At LIBERTY Ostrava, we welcomed the 28 apprentices who will be working with us in the 2023/2024 school year. All students are railway engineers and electricians. Ten of them are also from Electrotechnical high school in Ostrava a partner school of our GFG Foundation Czech Republic.

We prepare third-year students who are on internship with us to enter our Trainee program, in which they become employees of LIBERTY Ostrava and work with the support of experienced employees and mentors at our facilities. “We would like students to help their younger classmates at the same time. Our goal is to connect these students with freshmen from our class of electricians who joined the GFG Foundation Czech Republic pilot student program this year,” explains Ivana Durgarian, GFG Foundation Czech Republic coordinator from LIBERTY Ostrava.

Foundation Programmes

We do this through running school programmes in areas that GFG Alliance has a significant presence in. These programmes help give students some important skills to help them towards being job-ready after school. These include STEM based learning programmes.

The GFG Foundation seeks to address the emerging gap in industry skills by presenting a modern and sustainable perspective on industrial.
