Governance

The GFG Foundation shares a passion, vision and aim globally, however each country the Foundation has a presence in is a separate entity, which is governed by the individual legislation of that country.

In the Czech Republic, the GFG Foundation is registered as an endowment fund on the Foundation Register. The Registered Identification Number is 172 59 991.

The GFG Foundation Czech Republic is governed by an experienced Board of Trustees, comprised of founders Nicola and Sanjeev Gupta, and the following trustees and controller.

Georgina Crumpton – Trustee

Georgina is the General Manager GFG Alliance and GFG Foundation. She is Nicola Gupta’s sister.

Before joining GFG Alliance, Georgina held senior positions within leading global financial institutions, most recently as a Director at Plurimi Wealth Management as Head of Business Support.

She was previously Vice-President at Morgan Stanley International Wealth Management and divided her time between London and Switzerland, where she successfully managed the wind-down and transition of the Alternative Investments assets during the sale of Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management business.

Before this, Georgina was the coordinator of the Alternative Investments platform throughout EMEA. She also managed the Cross Divisional Relationship Business through the Private Investment Club & Strategic Lead Management platforms.

Ajay Aggarwal

Ajay Aggarwal – Trustee

Ajay is the President of LIBERTY Steel Group Europe.

Ajay has worked with Sanjeev and GFG Alliance for many years and was appointed GFG Alliance’s Executive Director for Central, Eastern and Southern Europe in November 2020. He was appointed into his new role, which give him the Delegation of Authority (DOA) to represent LIBERTY’s shareholder in countries across Europe, in April 2022.

Prior to joining GFG Alliance, Ajay had worked for Glencore International since 1989, holding management functions in the Commodities trading business as well as various operational aspects, including logistics for bulk handling terminals, finance, trading, import and export. He was also involved in the development of various sale operations across the former Soviet Union, South and East African and Asian markets, collaborating with other Glencore businesses to coordinate shipments, stock and risk management. 

Claire Neilson – Controller

Claire studied at The University of Sheffield, where she achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry.

She has worked for Liberty Steel and its predecessors for 20 years, gaining experience in a variety of departments, including Technical, Operations, Commercial and HR.

Claire is passionate about encouraging young people to studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) based subjects at school and beyond.
