LIBERTY Ostrava is a partner of the “A skillful hand makes a golden hand” event. Ninth graders from more than 30 elementary schools in the region participated in this popular interactive practical skills competition. Here, young visitors got to know different fields of study and at the same time tested their skills in practical tasks. Among the technical professions, they could try, for example, the professions of railway worker, welder, plumber and robots assembled by our partner Electrotechnical high school in Ostrava.

Electrotechnical high school in Ostrava presented at its stand together with GFG Foundantion Czech Republic a robot from a LEGO kit that can assemble a Rubik’s cube by itself. “It puts it together by first scanning the colors with the sensor, and then it calculates in this computer how many moves it has to make, and then the machine starts to put together the Rubik’s cube. Now it put the cube together in 96 seconds, the fastest it took us about 30, but that depends on how much we break the Rubik’s cube,” students described how the device works.

Foundation Programmes

We do this through running school programmes in areas that GFG Alliance has a significant presence in. These programmes help give students some important skills to help them towards being job-ready after school. These include STEM based learning programmes.

The GFG Foundation seeks to address the emerging gap in industry skills by presenting a modern and sustainable perspective on industrial.
